Respite Program

Country Care, through an agreement with ParaQuad and their Respite Care Program, offers a Respite Program through which people with severe to moderate non-compensable disabilities (aged 16 - 64 years) can receive respite attendant care.

Purpose

Through the Respite Program, Country Care is able to provide ongoing and occasional respite care to people with a disability on a regular or occasional basis.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Respite Program, you need to be:

• A Person with a moderate to severe disability
• Between the ages of 16 to 64 years
• Not receiving any other respite service (ie. from Other Agency, Linkages, HomeFirst In Home Support, program, etc)
• Not be eligible for TAC or Workcover assistance
• Living in North-Central Victoria

The Respite Program can be used in some instances to compliment some Home and Community Care (H.A.C.C) services

Fees

There are no costs to eligible clients. This service is fully funded by the Victorian Government.

Vacancies

Country Care can offer 5 permanent program places of 180 hours per year per client.

Country Care has also allocated a number of hours to an emergency pool. These hours can be made available to people at times of crisis or due to an emergency.

Flexibility of Service

This service is available at the times dictated by the clients needs, including evenings and weekends.
